- Customer portal login: the phone number you enter to look up your account, and the verification code we send to your email.

We also access information already on file at our shop in connection with services you have received from us, including:
- Your name, address, phone number, and email address.
- Your vehicles (year, make, model, VIN, license plate, mileage).
- Your service history (repair orders, labor performed, parts installed, declined services, inspection records).
We do not collect payment card information through this website. Payments are processed in person at the shop.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To respond to inquiries you submit through the contact form.
- To verify your identity when you log into the customer portal (one-time verification codes sent to your email on file).
- To display your vehicles and service history within the customer portal.
- To maintain shop records and warranty eligibility.
- To send you text messages (SMS) such as appointment reminders, service updates, and promotional offers, if you have opted in.
3. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only as follows:
- Email delivery: verification codes are delivered through Google (Gmail SMTP). Google processes the email solely to deliver it.
- SMS delivery: text messages are delivered through Twilio, a third-party messaging provider. Twilio processes your phone number solely to deliver messages on our behalf.
- Hosting: the website is hosted on a private virtual server. Server logs (IP address, request timestamps) are retained briefly for security and operational purposes.
- Legal obligations: we may disclose information if required by law, subpoena, or court order.
4. Cookies
We use a single cookie, set by our server, to keep you logged into the customer portal. This cookie is marked Secure and HttpOnly, and is cleared when you log out or close your browser. We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.
5. Text Messaging (SMS)
By providing your mobile phone number and opting in, you consent to receive text messages from Midas Dublin, including:
- Appointment reminders and confirmations
- Service status updates
- Promotional offers and special deals
Opt-out: You may opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message. After opting out, you will receive one final confirmation message and no further texts.

Message frequency: Message frequency varies. Standard message and data rates may apply.
No sharing: Your SMS consent and phone number are never sold, rented, or shared with third parties or affiliates for their marketing purposes. No mobile opt-in data is shared with third parties.
6. Data Retention
- One-time verification codes expire after 10 minutes and are then deleted.
- Portal session cookies expire when your browser session ends.
- Shop records (service history, vehicle information, contact details) are retained as long as you are a customer and as needed for warranty, accounting, and legal purposes.
7. Security
The website is served over HTTPS. The customer portal uses email-based one-time codes rather than passwords. We restrict access to shop records to authorized staff. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information.
8. Your California Privacy Rights
If you are a California resident, you have the right to:
- Request that we disclose what personal information we hold about you.
- Request correction of inaccurate information.
- Request deletion of your information, subject to legal and business retention requirements (for example, warranty records).
